Allfunds raises more than 265,000 euros to feed families in extreme need in Madrid and Milan, through the iHelp Foundation
The project, promoted by the Allfunds COVID-19 Solidarity Fund, has fed more than 600 Spanish families and has fostered proper nutrition for more than 12,000 children in poverty in Italy
The charity campaign has surpassed all expectations thanks to the solidarity of Spanish and Italian society
2 June 2020, Madrid – The campaign promoted by the Allfunds COVID-19 Solidarity Fund has surpassed expectations and has raised more than 265,000 euros, with which it has fed more than 600 Spanish families affected by the pandemic. In addition, in Italy, Allfunds supported Banco Alimentare della Lombardia “Danilo Fossati” Onlus, for the distribution of equivalent and balanced meals to over 12,000 children.
In April, the wealthtech launched the Allfunds COVID-19 Solidarity Fund Initiative with two goals, In Spain, the objective was feeding 450 families in extreme need for one month due to the COVID-19 crisis. Thanks to the solidarity of the society, the campaign has surpassed all expectations and has fed almost 50% more families. In Italy, the goal was to support Banco Alimentare della Lombardia “Danilo Fossati” Onlus, part of the network Banco Alimentare, which recovers food surpluses and distributes them free of charge to partner charity structures.

During the recent lockdown, with schools closed because of the virus, many children lost their only opportunity to receive at least balanced meal per day. Thanks to this solidarity initiative, Allfunds will enable Banco Alimentare della Lombardia to distribute balanced meals to 12,271 children in difficulty in the city of Milan.
In collaboration with the foundation iHelp and supermarket chain Carrefour, along with the help of hundreds of volunteers, many of them social workers, in Spain the wealthtech has provided a weekly purchase to each of the families, during one or two months depending on the situation of each family, in order for them have access to the products necessary for a proper nutrition.
